Nat & Neil’s NFL Sunday Picks

NFL Sundays are back!
A brand-new NFL season is here, and with it comes another year of big plays, huge upsets & plenty of hot takes!
Each week, we’ll be putting our NFL experts Nat Coombs & Neil Reynolds head-to-head as they make their picks for the weekend’s biggest games. Who’s going to come out on top?

Week 2 Recap
Week 2 brought more twists, upsets and plenty of drama as Nat & Neil continued their NFL prediction battle.
Who got what right?
Nat's big call: Backing the Bengals to take down the Texans in Houston, while Neil tipped the Texans to bounce back at home.
Neil's big call: Backing the Patriots to beat the Steelers, while Nat went for Pittsburgh.
Plenty of shared picks: The pair agreed on the Bears, Eagles, Packers, Jaguars & Cowboys.
The final verdict: It's a draw! Nat & Neil both finished Week 2 with four correct picks from the seven featured games, keeping the battle as close as ever.
Scores on the doors
After two weeks of NFL action, the battle remains completely tied: Nat 15 - Neil 15
With Week 2 in the books, there's still everything to play for. The NFL crystal balls aren't giving much away just yet...
Will Nat take the lead in Week 3, or can Neil pull ahead?
Over to you Neil... Neil’s NFL Picks - Week 3
The NFL season rolls on this week, as does my head-to-head picks battle with my good friend Nat Coombs. Rather than go through every contest this week, we are focusing on five key matchups; some of which you will be able to watch in Hickory’s restaurants this Sunday.
Here are my predictions for the third round of games coming up this week!
New England Patriots vs Jacksonville Jaguars
Both teams have shown themselves capable of playing tough, gritty defense already in this young season. So, the edge could go to whichever quarterback plays the best. I think there is more potential in the Jags’ attack. Neil’s Pick… Jacksonville Jaguars
Los Angeles Chargers vs Buffalo Bills
The Chargers have been an early-season disaster and now they are on the road to face an undefeated Buffalo team that has scored 77 points in wins over two playoff contenders in Houston and Detroit. Neil’s Pick… Buffalo Bills
Baltimore Ravens vs Dallas Cowboys
Two teams yet to find early-season consistency will meet in Brazil. The Cowboys will continue to be powered by Dak Prescott at quarterback. But he cannot produce 30-plus points every Sunday. I don’t think the Cowboys will keep pace with Lamar Jackson and co. Neil’s Pick… Baltimore Ravens
Los Angeles Rams vs Denver Broncos
This would have been pegged as a potential Super Bowl preview over the summer. The shine has come off these two teams just a little bit, but both are very good outfits who got into the win column for the first time in Week 2. I trust the Rams to find more points. Neil’s Pick… Los Angeles Rams
Philadelphia Eagles vs Chicago Bears
The Bears suddenly have a quarterback problem. Caleb Williams is likely to be sidelined with his hamstring injury and his replacement, Tyson Bagent, has a concussion. That opens the door for an inconsistent Eagles team to improve to 3-0. Neil’s Pick… Philadelphia Eagles

...Nat's Picks are In
New England Patriots vs Jacksonville Jaguars
If 2025 was the year Trevor Lawrence convinced us that he could be a legit top tier NFL starter, is 2026 the season he takes it one step further, and breaks into the inner circle of elite quarterbacks? Drake Maye & the Pats will hope the defense they face is closer to the Jags second half capitulation vs the Broncos last time out rather than the ferocious Week One demolition of Cleveland. Nat’s Pick… Jacksonville Jaguars
Los Angeles Chargers vs Buffalo Bills
There’s a very real chance that the Chargers are this season shock crash and burn outfit. Already in an 0-2 hole, their next seven games is like a murderers row of the best teams in the NFL, starting with a road trip to the Bills. Josh Allen is playing the best football of his career, which is a bit like saying Robert De Niro has never been better in this film. It’s a high bar, indeed. Nat’s Pick… Buffalo Bills
Baltimore Ravens vs Dallas Cowboys
The Brazil factor adds extra intrigue to this one, already one of the games of the weekend between two bona fide Super Bowl contenders. Will the field hold together, after last time the NFL played here when the turf was ripped to shreds? Will the Ravens stacked D hold together after last weeks out of sorts collapse against the Saints. I’m big on Baltimore this year but if Zay Flowers is out again, I’m all about dem Cowboys in Rio. Nat's Pick… Dallas Cowboys
Los Angeles Rams vs Denver Broncos
Forget the yellow brick road surreality of the Melbourne game in Week One, the Rams uncharacteristically tepid starter in Oz was not the real LA, last weeks prime time destruction of the Giants is what the rest of the NFL will be dealing with this season. The Broncos D will provide a sterner test, but I like LA to edge a close one. Nat's Pick… Los Angeles Rams
Philadelphia Eagles vs Chicago Bears
A week is a long time in football, and the Bears have had a rollercoaster ride in last few days. On Sunday they were fearing the worst when superstar quarterback Caleb Williams was carted off the field against the Vikes, but now they’re believing again with the news that he could be back much sooner than expected. Tyson Bagent is capable as backups go, and this Philly side is still flattering to deceive, but they should be strong enough for the road win. Nat's Pick… Philadelphia Eagles

...and there we have it. Who’s got it right?
And there we have it - Week 3’s picks are locked in! Nat & Neil have made their calls, but with the NFL being as unpredictable as ever, anything can happen once the action gets underway.
It’s a week of plenty of agreement, with the pair backing the same team in four of our five featured matchups.
The big head-to-head? Baltimore Ravens vs Dallas Cowboys, where Neil is backing Lamar Jackson & the Ravens, while Nat is putting his faith in Dak Prescott & the Cowboys.
So, will Neil’s confidence in Baltimore pay off, or can Nat’s Cowboys prove him right in Brazil?
With Week 3 now in the books, who will come out on top? Keep an eye out for the results and see who’s got the better NFL crystal ball!
