Brunch Southern Style...
Start the day right with brunch at Hickory's. In our book it's the most & most sociable meal of the day. The Americans seem to understand this more than most & on our road trips we've learnt that the guys in the Southern States in particular make it a real event. We serve up our brunch menu every day until 2pm & be sure to check the opening times of your local Hickory's. Our new brunch menu is available in all of our Smokehouses.
We've pretty much tasted our way around the Deep South enjoying brunch at BBQ joints, diners & roadside shacks in every state we visited. From pancake stacks so fluffy you can never get to the bottom to waffles loaded with Southern fried chicken smothered in maple syrup. All washed down with mugs of coffee or a chilled iced tea. Life simply doesn't get much better than brunch Southern style.
Toast the morning...
Our Hickory's muffins have been firm-favourites with our guests for some time. Loaded with a griddled, slice of American style cheese & your choice of filling (streaky bacon, sausage patty or magic-dusted mushroom) and served with magic-dusted tater tots. A great way to start the day. Last year we brought you The Ultimate XXL Muffin for those mornings when you can't decide which filling to go for as it's got them all. This menu our chefs have created a muffin for smokehouse fans. The Pitmaster Stack has it all - smoked pork & jalapeno sausage, crushed smoked pork belly, pit beans, a grilled egg, bacon jam & cowboy butter. It's authentic, smoky & full of the tastes of the smokehouse.
Introducing The Hog & The Hen
This one plays homage to our 2022 road trip where there was a pork & egg combo on every brunch menu. Our chefs thought we were missing a trick not using our incredible smoked pulled pork so we created this dish as tribute to those early mornings in Texas. Smoked pork collar, poached eggs, mornay sauce, crushed pork rinds, pickled red onion & cowboy butter on our homemade corn bread. Definitely one to try! Fans of the Chicken Fried Waffle - this next one's for you. The Dirty Fried Chicken Waffle... This homemade waffle is topped with Cajun battered chicken, Korean ketchup, bacon jam & mac 'n' cheese. Sweet, sticky & savoury. No one said the Chicken Fried Waffle would work but it does. But now it's time for a dirty version.
Brunch Favourites...
Our fluffy, homemade Pancakes are flippin' good. If sweet is your thing go for strawberries, chocolate & hazelnut. Prefer a savoury start to the day? Crispy streaky bacon & maple or the spicy Louisiana fried chicken & maple butter are what you need. Our kids pancakes are a winner with younger guests too! It doesn't end there either - there's Steak & Eggs and The Great American Breakfast. We'll give you a jug of maple goodness to pour on everything so keep the maple flowing . We'd even go as far as saying keep it flowing over all the brunch dishes. Is it even brunch without it?
Brunch Sippin'...
Enjoy your brunch favourite washed down with mugs of bottomless coffee or a Bloody Mary or two. Last year on our way from St Louis to Nashville, we enjoyed a Bloody Mary or two at Ekert's Orchard Farm. Garnished with asparagus made us realise we had to up our Bloody Mary game. So bring on the epic garnish of celery, lemon, maple bacon, pickle, sundried tomato, an olive & tajin popcorn.
If Iced Tea is more your thing you'll be pleased to know our Georgia Peach is still around. The good news is that it's been joined by One In A Melon - refreshing, light, crisp & sweet. Just what you need for brunch. And there's more. Let us introduce our iced coffees - some might say we're late to the party. But these are worth the wait. Choose either Salted Maple - our take on one we loved at Atlanta Breakfast Club. Or go for Blueberry - surprisingly it works really well in coffee. Sweet, quirky & refreshing.
