What an amazing way to kick off summer! 🌞🎶

On Sunday 9th June, we welcomed you all for our very first Yard Party of the season — and what a day it was! Families and friends filled the garden for an afternoon of live music, garden games, face painting for the kids, and even the helter skelter (which the grown-ups loved just as much!).

The day began with a proper Hickory’s brunch - stacks of homemade pancakes, bacon with maple syrup, eggs over easy, and coffee (with a few Bloody Marys for good measure!) before heading out to soak up the sunshine and the party atmosphere.

As the afternoon rolled on, guests gathered for smokin’ BBQ and cocktails. From Memphis-style baby back ribs and hand-pulled pork to our famous Texas-style brisket, the smokehouse flavours kept everyone fuelled right through to dinner. And of course, a few brave guests couldn’t resist taking on the mighty Go Big or Go Home burger!

The drinks were flowing too - refreshing spritzes in the sunshine, fun favourites like The Grape Escape and Paloma Loco, and sweet treats like the Crazy Carnival Shake and our very own Root Beer Float, just like they drink in Texas.
