Hickory’s Derby Is Open!
We're open & smokin!
On Friday 28th July we swung open the doors to your local Hickory's. We can't wait to show you what we've done & to serve up smokin' BBQ, ice-cold beer, hot sauces & some good old fashioned southern hospitality.
You can expect a completely welcoming & relaxed space - from Chef's bar, party tables for when you get the family or gang together and cosy booths. Head to the bar & join us for a drink - for after work beers or cocktails before dinner. You're always welcome in our neighbourhood bar. The bar is filled with TV screens showing popular American & UK sports. And, from September let us be your new home for the NFL!
Take a look around...
Outside we're adding a Southern inspired veranda for all-year round dining. Along with our signature huts. Our huts are popular with guests (whatever the Derby weather has in store) - complete with heaters & blankets for cooler nights. It doesn't get much better than this.
Younger guests are in for a treat too.
As for the food, you know what to expect...authentic southern style barbecue, packed full of the flavours of the Deep South. With classic smokehouse dishes such as Memphis ribs, Texas-style brisket and BBQ pulled pork all smoked low ‘n’ slow in smokers specially shipped in from Texas & Missouri. BBQ fans will love their appetisers from frickles & corn dogs to buckets of smoked wings & southern fried chicken.
Something for everyone...
With a superb selection of signature steaks, epic burgers and vegetarians will be catered for too. And, the Chicken Fried Waffle, a legend born from a road trip to Austin looks set to be a firm favourite in Hickory's Derby. Just make sure you leave room for dessert. Don't forget our Kids Menu too, packed with the right balance of treats, healthy options & fun.

You're welcome to join us just for drinks in the bar. We've got an extensive spirits collection - we’re pretty proud of our Bourbons - we have over 25 to try that we’ve sipped, drank and collected from our road trips. From easy drinking session ales (like our Hickory’s Pale Ale that’s brewed exclusively for us) and our cask ales, to our selection of bottles and canned craft beers - there really is a beer for everyone. You're equally welcome for drinks in our neighbourhood bar at Hickory's Derby as you are for dining. Our passionate bar teams are all a little bit crazy about cocktails! Our impressive drinks list is bursting with interesting mixes and classic combos all designed to pay a nod to our southern roots.
