We're excited to bring a taste of the Southern states to Telford. We've been getting to know the area, meeting our neighbours & the good people of Shropshire. We're so excited to welcome you in with some good old fashioned Southern hospitality to your all new Hickory's Smokehouse.

From no teeth to false, Hickory's is for everyone. If you've visited Hickory's Shrewsbury or any of our other Smokehouses before, you'll know that we’re all about family-friendly dining and a great bar experience. Hickory's Smokehouse Telford is no different! The team have worked hard to transform the place, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

 

Whether you’re with family, friends, or the guys from work we have the perfect setup just for you, from cosy booths to lively party tables. Plus, our Chef’s Bar where you can watch the chefs in action, it’s quite possibly the best seat in the house with a view of our slow smoked Texas style brisket. Our chefs might even lift the lid on a few Pitmaster secrets.

 

 

Younger guests are in for a treat too...

Our kid’s menu has been specially created with a team of mums, dads and kids so it contains just the right balance of treats, healthy options and fun. The menu is packed with dishes and drinks for smaller appetites, from pancake stacks & the classic mac ‘n’ cheese to burgers and popcorn chicken bites. There are also smaller versions of all the shakes.

No visit to Hickory's is complete without a trip to our Fro-Co creation station. Designed to showcase the one & only frozen custard (that’s Fro-Co in Hickory’s talk).

At Hickory's Smokehouse Telford you'll be able to sit back & relax, as we'll keep the kids them entertained with table-top fun, regular special events, including our incredible character brunches. Let them take a bag of popcorn to their very own cinema room, enjoy a movie and come & go as they please whilst they wait for their food.

Inspired by the outdoor lifestyle in the Southern States,  we’re created a secluded yard with plenty of tables for dining & drinking outside. We have a safe & secure outside play area for kids. So it really is the perfect place for the whole family, all year round, so you can enjoy your local Hickory’s Smokehouse Telford for every occasion. Whatever the Shropshire weather has in store.

 

Experience Authentic Southern BBQ...

The smokers have been shipped from the southern states as authenticity is key for us. Our  Southern Pride smokers take pride of place in the heart of the restaurant - they are the best of the best in the BBQ world. Straight from Tennessee & Missouri, our smokers are our pride and joy! Inspired by the places we've visited & the people we meet we've learnt from the best in the business.

Outside you'll see a sign that reads “Open 8 Days A Week." We were inspired by the guys at Black's Barbecue in Lockhart, Texas, inspired by their passion for Southern hospitality & their love for smokin’. So along with ideas and inspiration we brought home this phrase. Our smokers never stop and if we could eat BBQ & welcome guests 8 days a week we would!

Our Pitmasters are the real deal. They're the heart of what we do, lovingly smokin' to create those prestige smoke rings & that fall of the bone meat. At Hickory's we say, "Not all heroes wear capes; some wear aprons" & these BBQ heroes are here to make sure you leave wanting more!

Smokehouse Classics...

Get ready to indulge in smokehouse classics like tender Memphis Ribs, authentic Texas-Style Brisket &  Chicken Wings - all slow-smoked in house! For the non-smokers we've got you covered too. With dishes such as the 3AM Mac 'n' Cheese, the sweet & savoury Chicken Fried Waffle & the Bird & Beast Burger, arrive hungry!

Our appetisers and desserts aren’t one to skip out on, so make sure you leave room! From Bacon Bites & Southern Fried Chicken in a Basket to the Alabama Fudge Cake & Churros the perfect feast awaits. 

The guys in the Southern States love brunchin' too - they make a real event of it. From mugs of bottomless coffee and homemade Pancakes to Steak & Eggs and the indulgent HoneyBird Cinnabun - we're servin' up brunch every day until 2pm.  

 

 

 

Take A Seat At The Bar...

You're just as welcome to join us for drinks in the bar as you are for a BBQ feast in the restaurant. We've sipped our way across the Deep South and brought back so many ideas. If you're a fan of bourbon check out our collection. We've over 25 and our bar team can mix you up an Old Fashioned any time of day. With easy-drinking session ales, including our exclusive Hickory's Pale Ale and a selection of bottles & canned craft beers, there really is a beer for everyone.

 

Our drinks list is bursting with interesting mixes & classic combos that all designed to pay a nod to our Southern roots. Be sure to try one of our signature cocktails.  Go for the Game Changer, a twist on the Hurricane, a real fruity & tropical drink. Check out the Cotton Candy. Gin & Cointreau shaken with lemon juice & poured over candy floss. Or try a frozen Miami Vice - slushies for grown-ups. 

Be sure to check our our homemade soda's - the Grape Soda is something special, even if we say so ourselves. In fact we've even had it canned for you to take home.  And a trip to Hickory's wouldn't be complete without a Freakshake.

So whether it's a smooth sip of Bourbon, a refreshing beer or a Hickory's cocktail. There's a seat at the bar with your name on it.
