At Hickory’s, we’re all about community - looking after our guests, our teams & the places we call home. That’s why our partnership with Cash for Kids is so important to us.

Cash for Kids supports disadvantaged children & young people from birth to 18 who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or additional needs. They work locally, at postcode level, meaning the money we raise in our restaurants goes directly back into our communities - helping families who often have nowhere else to turn.

Honestly, that’s something to be really proud of. But we’re not done yet…this year, we’re aiming big. We're on a mission to raise £1 MILLION together.

Every visit, every donation, every small act of kindness gets us one step closer.

Where Your Support Goes

The difference you make is real & it’s powerful!

• £10-£50 can make sure a child in care isn’t forgotten at Christmas
• £100 can help families buy clothes, bedding & everyday essentials
• £250-£500 can fund sensory toys, sports equipment or specialist items
• £1,000+ can provide life-changing equipment for children with additional needs

What we raise genuinely changes lives, in fact, most families say the help they received was vital. Many say Cash for Kids was the only support available to them.

Our Campfire S’mores aren’t just delicious… For every one sold, £1 goes directly to Cash for Kids!

What We’ve Achieved...Together

Over the years, our teams & guests have gone above & beyond in the name of fundraising - taking on everything from skydives, abseils & marathons to firewalks, quiz nights & just about everything in between.

Safe to say… we’re a pretty incredible (& slightly crazy) bunch when it comes to supporting our local communities.

We’ve climbed The Big One, abseiled from Anfield Stadium, & powered through a 12-hour bike-a-thon & that’s just the beginning.

It’s this passion, energy & willingness to do something a little bit different that makes our partnership with Cash for Kids so special.

We couldn’t be prouder of our teams and we can’t wait to see what weird & wonderful challenges come next, all in support of a charity that means so much to us.

Mission Christmas

At Hickory’s, our partnership with Cash for Kids becomes even more meaningful during the festive season through Mission Christmas.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of children across the UK wake up on Christmas morning without a single gift. Mission Christmas is all about changing that - making sure every child has something to open, something to smile about, and a reminder that they’re not forgotten.

Across all our smokehouses, you’ll find Mission Christmas collection points throughout the festive season. Our incredible teams and generous guests come together to donate gifts for children of all ages, from babies to teenagers and young adults. Because no child, no matter their age, should wake up without a present on Christmas Day.

We’re so proud to have supported Mission Christmas over the years, and it’s something we’ll continue to be part of for many more to come.

Cash for Kids Day

In 2024 we celebrated Cash For Kids Day in true Hickory’s style. We “walked to Texas” (not quite literally, but we covered every step!) taking on an epic challenge, walking the distance from Hickory’s to Texas in just one day.

1 million steps, 21 restaurants, 10 hours.

It was big, bold & a little bit bonkers, but most importantly, it made a real difference.

 

Cash for Kids Day 2026: Going Even Bigger

This year, we’re taking things to the next level. Thursday 30th April 2026 marks Cash for Kids Day 2026. The biggest fundraising day of the year & we’re proud to be part of something truly special.

Introducing: The World’s Biggest Music Quiz

A nationwide, live quiz event hosted by Ant & Dec were thousands of people playing at the same time. The aim; to break a Guinness World Record. Yes, you heard that right! We will be supporting Cash For Kids in their attempt to set a new record for the biggest music quiz.

Our teams will be taking part live in our restaurants & we’ll also be hosting quiz nights in some of our restaurants so you can join in too!

It’s fun, it’s competitive & every entry helps support children who need it most.
