About Hickory's

You may have noticed that we have five stars as part of our name. Each star represents one of the five values that underpin everything we do, say or plan. We live and breathe these values and try and incorporate them into every
aspect of the Hickory’s experience…

1. Authenticity

Whether it is food and drink, design ideas, music or hospitality, all our ideas are measured against the places that have inspired us.

We judge our authenticity in relation to the real family-friendly restaurants and bars of the Southern States.

Our journeys have taken us from Texas to Tennessee, from Missouri to Mississippi. We’ve partied with locals in New Orleans, slept under canvas in Kansas and sat on countless porches eating BBQ and sipping homemade lemonades and iced
teas.

With each trip comes new inspiration. Each state brings new ideas. Our journeys of discovery never stop.

2. Welcoming

From the outset we just wanted to bottle the generosity of spirit and open hearted hospitality of the Southern States.

Families can expect a whole host of family friendly facilities from cinema rooms to ping-pong and yard games whilst our neighbourhood bars offer a real a hub for locals to meet and relax.

3. Our guests are guests

Our guests are guests, not customers, and we aim to make you feel as welcome as you would be as guests in our own homes.

4. Quirky

We like to be different! We do many things in different, quirky ways.

We love to surprise our guests. A visit to Hickory’s Smokehouse will often involve something fun, eccentric or totally unexpected.

From the free popcorn on arrival to the ‘build your own’ frozen custard for kids !important; the campfire marshmallows served with a real burning campfire and our Elvis inspired King Bacon milkshake are just a few
of the offbeat ideas we have had so far…

5. Community

Our bars stock local ales alongside more authentic American craft beers and our bartenders are encouraged to ‘get creative’ and develop their own bespoke brews and cocktail creations.

We support local businesses wherever possible, from local breweries and food suppliers to schools and charities and our entire marketing budget goes towards supporting worthy local causes and creating fun, memorable events for our
local communities.
